Genetec SMC & SCL Gen1 – End of Lifecycle Updates

What’s happening
Certain Genetec access control hardware is reaching key lifecycle milestones:

What this means

• End of Support: No more firmware updates, including critical security patches
• End of Functionality: Device will no longer operate or integrate with updated systems

Why this matters
Unsupported devices introduce security vulnerabilities, compliance risks, and system limitations over time.

How to check if you're impacted

1. Open a hardware inventory task
2. Filter by Source Group → Access Control
3. Generate report
4. Sort by manufacturer (Genetec) and review product types

KiwiVision Video Analytics – End of Life

What’s happening
KiwiVision Video Analytics is being phased out:

• End of Sale: With Security Center 5.14 (May 2026)
• End of Life: With Security Center 5.15 (fully removed)

What this means

• Existing users can temporarily continue using current licenses
• No new deployments will be available
• Future system upgrades will not support KiwiVision

Why this matters
If you rely on video analytics for security or operations, this change could impact visibility, automation, and reporting capabilities.
